Katharina C. Hamma (born 1966), Chief Operating Officer of Koelnmesse since 1 October 2011, is operatively responsible for all own events of the international trade fair organiser. In the course of her career she has become familiar with the trade fair business from many perspectives.
Following her studies in business management and clothing technology, the graduate in engineering gathered experience in various branches of the economy. She began her trade fair career in 1997 as a manager for trade fair services at Messe München GmbH, and headed this segment following a short period as department head. In 1999 she changed within the company as head of the Marketing department to the business area of capital goods fairs. From 2002 to 2004, first as deputy head, and then as of 2005 as head of the Business Area I, she was responsible there for all capital goods fairs in Germany and abroad. In 2008 she became an authorised officer of Messe München GmbH. In 2010 she was called to join the supervisory board of bc India Expo Ltd. in India.
Katharina C. Hamma was named Chief Operating Officer of Koelnmesse by the supervisory board of Koelnmesse, taking effect as of 1 October 2011.
